April 2009 Open Day with Greg Rusedski

Greg’s presence at our Open Day on Saturday 18 April gave it great momentum and he really added to the occasion, staying a long time and treating juniors to advice, practice and autographs, and seniors to the same, letting them see how they could deal with a fastest-serve record holder. One or two points were scored against him  by a few members, but most were astonished by the speed, swerve and lift of Greg’s serves.

There was an excellent attendance at the event and the BBQ was a great feature. Thanks are due to everyone involved in the organisation, and above all to Greg for giving of his time so generously.
